F A Q

SO HOW DOES THIS ALL WORK?

For Postpartum services, after our initial consultation if you decide we are a good fit and we will set what schedule you think you would like to start out with (always flexible to add more hours) I will meet you at your house for the first postnatal visit! Your first service can begin as soon as your baby is here. We will briefly discuss how you're feeling and what I can do to best support you that day, I stay for our scheduled shift helping your family get adjusted and feel your best and then see you again for your next shift after that!

For Labor Support, after our initial consultation, I will meet you for your prenatal visits, we will discuss your birth plan, what your feelings are and I will explain more in-depth what to expect. I go on call for you at 37 weeks and will meet you during Labor as soon as you feel you want me there.

ARE YOU ONLY AVAILABLE DURING NEWBORN PHASES?

No! The hard part doesn't stop after the first couple of months so why should the support stop too? Parents deserve all the help they can get no matter what age.

WHAT KIND OF FAMILIES DO YOU SERVE?

I work with all families despite religion, sexuality, gender, age, disability and more.

Some of my specialties include but are not limited to:

- Cesarean Births

- VBAC

- Vaginal Births (Medicated and not)

- High-Risk Birth

- Infant Loss

- Abortion Support

- Birth after a Loss

- LGBTQ+ Families

Absolutely, I will gladly meal prep and support families with any dietary restrictions, including Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten-Free, Nut-Free diets and more.

THIS ISN'T MY FIRST BABY, CAN I STILL USE A DOULA?

Every baby is different and adjusting to life with a new addition can always bring on its challenges, the benefits of having a doula with your second, third, fourth or more child is that I can give you refresher and updated news in the birth world, help siblings adjust to having a new baby in the house and give you tips on how to transition into a happy capable parent of multiple children!

I'M NOT SURE IF I CAN/ WANT TO CONTINUE BREASTFEEDING, WILL YOU SUPPORT ME IN THIS?

Absolutely, I will always provide nonjudgemental and unbiased support, feeding your baby is most important, however, you choose to do so I will provide you the education and resources to aid you through whatever you need!

DO YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH PREEMIES OR BABIES WITH MEDICAL CONDITIONS?

I have worked with families that have had many different labor experiences, I am more than happy and prepared to provide support to families with babies that have been in the NICU, were born prematurely or have other medical conditions.
